And we still have a heartbeat! Baby is also still hiding out in one corner of the gestational sac so measurements are a little difficult (Dr.Dry made a joke about not wanting to have to go to Sears with this kid for baby pictures), but they were able to measure 7w3d (I'm 7w5d) so that's all good. And we saw the heartbeat again so that's good. The corpus luteum is starting to get smaller (that's a also good thing, apparently, since it means that the placenta is starting to take over progesterone production).
It was great having Mr.Right there with me this time! I could tell he was pretty taken aback by seeing the heartbeat. I still found myself being a little emotionally reserved. No 'woo hoos!' from me. I guess I'm just trying to be calm and cautious. But, I have to say it's starting to look good (knock on wood, she says). Of course, there's a little tinge of sadness with this news as well since Alex found out on her last RE ultrasound that her baby no longer had a heartbeat (if you haven't already visited with her, please do so, she's having a D&C as well). It could still happen. But, at this point, Dr.Dry said there's a 7% chance of miscarriage. Of course, we've been known to take the statistical bullet before.
Anyhow, since my first OB appointment isn't until 2 weeks from today, they offered that I could come back next week for another ultrasound. I had to book for Tues. morning so that means Mr.Right won't be able to come with me. We would have tried to go again on Wednesday afternoon, but we're closing on our new house that afternoon so it will be craziness that day.
The only slightly bad news is that Dr.Dry decided to extend my Prometrium for another 2 weeks (I thought I'd be done tomorrow!) but really, at this point, I'm so used to it, it hardly matters. And I keep on the pre-natal vitamins, Folgard and baby aspirin. Belt and suspenders, really.
