We are in our new house! Ok, there are still a gazillion boxes sitting around everywhere and the office/library from which I am writing is still complete chaos, but we're in. It's total suburbia, but I'm enjoying it (it's only been two years since I left my beloved row house in the city).
I'm trying not to think too much about the bedroom that will be a nursery until after our OB appointment tomorrow. We had been given a crib by friends of Mr.Right's over a year ago (we were hopeful then, I guess, and accepted it) which made the move with us, but we didn't put it in the bedroom that will likely be the nursery. It will live in basement storage until I'm sure I want to start on a nursery. My sister and her husband are also chomping at the bit to get rid of all their baby stuff (they have two boys and they are done). I told her I might be able to look at her list of stuff after Wednesday to tell her which things we'd like (the rest of which they'll take to Salvation Army). I don't think I'm being overly negative here, just cautious. There will be lots of time to set up a nursery, right?
Otherwise, I'm pretty positive about our appointment tomorrow. Despite the fact that it still bugs me that there's really no way of knowing whether our little bean is still alive in there, I'm hopeful. I've put together a few notes for the nurse practitioner we'll see. I'm terrible with dates so wanted to look up and write down my actual LMP date and IUI date. Not that I won't be telling her that "I'm 9w5d today!" as soon as I walk int the door ;-)
If all is well tomorrow, we'll tell Mr.Right's mom on Friday night when we stop to see her (and stay the night) and my parents on Saturday when we're at the lake with them. Can't wait! Finally, we'll be able to tell them some good news!

Yeah! Good luck. It's kind of hard to set up a nursery. It really gets your hopes up. Nothing wrong with doing it last minute. I'm excited for you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new house!! And of course you are not being negative at all, there's plenty of time and we still have to get used to being pregnant! I can't wait to read about your appointment tomorrow, are you still symptomless? I woke up today with the worst headache ever...apparently it's a typical thing when you are in your week 10! hopefully it'll pass by week 11! Love, Fran
ReplyDeleteYeah!
ReplyDeleteI think I would totally be like you in the hesitation of setting up the nursery. Yes, you have time. Focus on the positive energy for the happy little bean!!! I can't wait to hear the results.
