Waiting for AF.....

It's back to this. Waiting for AF to show (for the first time since D&C). I know it will be unpredictable, but I do think I was near ovulation a week ago Thursday so we're looking at 10-11 days now past ovulation (I've been known to have luteal phases as short as 10 days). I'm just so anxious to get this show on the road.

Went to have blood drawn for karyotyping this morning. Short and sweet at *very* (like, less than a mile) nearby LabCorp site. Mr.Right was going to try to get his done this morning before work too at a site nearer his office.

Some IF-related discussions between me and the Mr. this weekend but really ended up pretty much limited to deciding to push back a week of vacation we had been thinking about taking the week of October 11. We figured it would be cutting too close a possible IVF cycle starting ~ Sept. 22 (if AF shows this week and I have a 4 week-ish cycle). We pushed back vacation a week (the only thing we'd done so far was that Mr.Right had put it on the calendar at his office, but no patients had been bumped yet) and, personally, I'm thinking that week may get bumped too. We can't go the following week because one of the other docs has off that week and then it starts to get a little too late in the season (we were going to go to Boston and New England and visit friends; do some of the historical sites; visit Mr.Right's highschool; leaf peep, etc.) Oh well, we decided we had a great week of vacation just the other week in CA and one the week of Memorial Day in South Carolina so we weren't desperate for another vacation this fall. We'll see what happens. I'm surprisingly resigned to the idea that this next IVF cycle will have to rule our calendar. Maybe because I'm already thinking this will be our last IVF cycle. But who knows........

Other than that, spent a fairly quiet weekend at home doing some yard work, some tax (ugh!) work to prep for a meeting with our accountant this week and for me, some planning on how to get back on track with losing the same 10 pounds I just lost this spring (and into the first bunch of weeks of my pregnancy). Double ugh. Apparently all those Nob Hill grocery store chocolate chip cookies that my SIL bought while we were ate the beach in CA really did mean extra pounds!
