Measures of Hope | 8 March 2011

+1. I'm not sure this is a positive or hopeful thought, but it's got me so excited I can barely contain myself!! No Lovenox on Wednesday or Thursday nights before the CVS test on Friday. Woo Hoo! I feel like saying it twice. Woo Hoo! Not that the little Lovenox shots are so bad, but days on end of shots = not fun. They don't hurt that badly, but I just get to the point where I don't look forward to going to bed at night. I'll still have to continue to week 14 (if we get to keep the baby) unfortunately, but a 2 night break? Awesome!

+2. A false positive. Yes, that's what I'm hoping for since I just got a call from my OB's office this afternoon saying that my IgM for toxoplasmosis came back positive, but my IgG came back negative. The IgG apparently indicates immunity. The IgM indicates a recent infection. So, I may have been recently infected without prior immunity. Gah!!! Can NOTHING be easy for me ever? Really? I need to go to the lab tomorrow to have more blood drawn so they can do a titer and figure out if this is real or not. Trying to stay positive and hopeful about this. We'll see if I succeed.

+3. RESOLVE support group tonight. I'll try not to feel like an impostor going there pregnant. We're still pursuing donor eggs. And goodness knows there may still be decisions ahead of us (the group is called IF Crossroads for people considering different paths.)

  1. What a nice little break from the shots, is so hard to believe you still have to do them, poor honey.

I hope the test was a false positive and nothing to worry about.
