+1. So far, still so good. Blood draw for thrombophilia panel yesterday was easy (12 vials!) to get to (about 5 min from my house) and despite a phlebotomist whom I thought was not paying enough attention chatting football the whole time with a colleague, he was good, i.e. painless.
+2. 2nd anniversary yesterday. Despite a bit of a rocky start to the evening (I was a bit cranky making dinner for us, regretting not having insisted on going out, although we went out for brunch on Sunday), it turned out great. A nice, cozy evening with a fire, filet mignon, yummy cauliflower gratin (with gruyere), chocolate pudding for dessert, a bottle of Veuve and some red wine to boot - oh yeah, and some no-pressure, we're-not-having-sex-to-get-pregnant sex ;-) The best part: getting to be married to Mr.Right for these past 2 years. I can't even fathom what it would have been like to go through all this infertility nonsense without him.
+3. Running, running, running and feeling good. Well into the marathon training now. Wimped out and went to the gym for 3 miles on the treadmill today but toughed out 6 miles in the wind and cold yesterday and it felt good.

ReplyDelete6 miles is fabulous. Especially in raw weather. The words 'mental toughness' spring to mind.
