+1. When I reflect on this little experiment to write a blog post every day listing positive or hopeful things about IF or the rest of my life, I actually think it has helped....a lot. I don't actually recite each positive thing to Mr. Right every night (which was the original motivation: to have positive thoughts at hand to share out loud with him). It's really more about forcing myself to put pen to paper (or typing to blog) and come up with some positive or hopeful thoughts - even in the depths of the 2ww.
+2. Finished a little more Christmas shopping today. Slowly chipping away at the list.
+3. Receiving a chest freezer from my parents on Friday for our Christmas present! Yay! Now I can buy all the frozen wild sockeye salmon that I want at Costco (love that stuff....easiest dinner ever.)
+4. Dinner last night with two of our flower girls (oh, and their parents.) M (Mr.Right's god-daughter) turned 10 years old yesterday. She gave *us* a present! A cute ceramic bone-shaped plaque she'd made with Jessie's (our puppy) name on it! We'll hang it on her crate.

I'm so happy that this experiement is helping you - I wondered how you were doing with Mr. Right - so glad to hear that focusing on the positive is going well for your mindset.
ReplyDeleteAnd Jessie's plaque sounds adorable - what a great gift!
Ditto on what Alex said. Sometimes the ol' fake it till you make it actually works. :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad your posts are helping you! And yeah for making progress on your shopping. A chest freezer is a great gift..we have thought about getting one for all the goodies we buy at Costco too....lol!
ReplyDeleteYay for chest freezers! I got one at garage sale last summer for $62 in perfect condition. I love the salmon at Sam's too! And really it's just a good excuse to shop more.
